The following is a collection of "modern" jazz albums from the early 1950s and beyond.

Many were originally released as twelve inch long play vinyl albums. The collection not only represents some of the very best jazz ever recorded, but also showcases the artistic appeal of the album covers.

Many of the albums featured have been re-issued on CD, some have been issued for the first time on CD. Information includes LP/CD label and number.

Some of the albums may no longer be available. To purchase any of the albums featured it is recommended that you contact a specialist CD/record store.
