| The Jazz Man says…. If you like smooth, sophisticated jazz, then you must check out “Jazz on Tuesday” on Melbourne’s Golden Days Radio 95.7FM.
Three hours of relaxing jazz every Tuesday from 8pm to 11pm.
“Jazz on Tuesday” hosted by Barry Skinner showcases “cool” 1950s West Coast style jazz, classic “bebop” and mainstream jazz.
The program features original recordings of small groups that include the who’s who of “modern” jazz. The program includes some of the finest jazz recordings ever made from the late 1940s and beyond. It’s the style of jazz that is often referred to as “lounge” music.
Listeners to “Jazz on Tuesday” are invited to ‘phone the Melbourne radio station (9572 1466) during the program with any comments they may like to make.
”Jazz on Tuesday” is most likely the only radio program in Australia dedicated to small group modern jazz from the late 1940s and beyond.

”Jazz on Tuesday” jazz with style.
Speaking of “style” – meet the man who invented “cool” – Frank Sinatra.
His life was filled with, buddies, brawls, Jack Daniels bourbon, wives and lovers, sex, scandals and starlets, political and Mafia connections, power, wealth and incredible generosity towards those who fell on hard times, including many who he had never met.
“TIME” magazine named Frank Sinatra “Entertainer of the Century” (that is the 20th Century”!)
